I’m Creating A New Writing Direction for 2023

I have been absent from my writing for almost 2 weeks. It wasn’t by choice. I feel guilty that I haven’t written anything in that time.

I had a curve ball thrown at me and I’m trying to regroup.

My husband and I have lived in our apartment for five years. In July the owner put the building up for sale.

He’s a decent landlord and I was hoping he couldn’t sell the building because of the economy. Wishful thinking didn’t work! He hasn’t sold the building, but there’s a pending contract.

Two weeks ago I met our future landlord. My serene state of mind went out the window. I admit I’m a bit anxious about how this will work out.

That aside, I’ve thought a lot about how I want my writing to go in 2023. When I started writing again I was trying to get into the habit of being consistent. Then I laspsed, but I’m back.

When I restarted writing I hadn’t decided on a direction. It bothered me. I have copious notes on my thoughts but it’s time to choose a direction.

You’ll be less confused as a reader. You invest your valuable time reading, so I want to be consistent in focus.

With the holiday season on the doorstep, I’m taking a planned break to map this out. I’ll be returning on January 13, 2023.

I wish you all a peaceful, safe, and gentle holiday season. I hope 2023 is kind to us all. See you then.
